Francesco Gringoli dismantles, analyzes, and reinvents wireless technologies. Full Professor at the University of Brescia, he is internationally recognized for his experimental approach to reverse engineering devices and protocols: a line of research that has opened the “black box” of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, uncovering hidden vulnerabilities as well as new opportunities for innovation. With over 140 publications and multiple international best paper awards, he has developed open-source tools now used by researchers and laboratories worldwide. His projects range from the security and privacy of digital communications to the design of experimental platforms for next-generation networks. His work combines scientific rigor with engineering creativity, turning the complexity of wireless networks into knowledge that drives innovation, strengthens security, and inspires new applications.
